Gaga, Leather, and Heels

Hey Guys!

So last night I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and came across a photo of Lady Gaga from her Fame Monster days. Now I love how Gaga is always changing her look. She remains fresh, current and interesting and you never know what to expect from her next. I must admit, however, that her Fame Monster and Born This Way days were probably my favorite both aesthetically and musically.  She was so bold and effortlessly chic and grungy all at the same time! Anyway I was inspired to compose a little selfie photoshoot.

This is how I prepared... I threw on...
  • Some leather
  • Red lips
  • Curls
  • Heels
  • And of course some vintage Gaga for added Attitude and Inspiration!

All my photos all also shot with my new Iphone 6! I am completely impressed with the quality of the images and the flash.

I think that everyone should channel a little Lady Gaga. Even if you are not a fan of her artistically there is a lot you can learn from her in terms of self acceptance, understanding and creativity.

Humber Fashion Shoot!

Hey Guys!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of styling hair for the graduating fashion students at Humber College. The students had so many great concepts from the overly exaggerated 1960s to the sleek, chic and sporty looks inspired by today's leading sport trend.

As a hairstylist the daily styling in a hair salon can become a little mundane. The shoot was a great reminder of why I got started in this industry. The chance to let my creativety go wild and treat hair more as an art form.

The two leading themes of the weekend's fashion shoots were the Pan Am Games, which are happening this summer, and an ad for TJX Canada.

Here are some behind the scene photos from the weekend!

Hope you guys enjoy them and gain some good hair inspiration!

Thanks for checking out my photos everyone!

Have a great Easter Weekend!

Model Inspiration!

Hey Guys!

Here is a little post of my Adobe Creative Suites assignment from class. It is a fab fashion mosaic of my favorite model and inspiration Sasha Pivovarova. Her look is super striking, versatile and androgynous! I am always captivated by her unique facial features and angular poses.

Love the POP of COLOR and push toward SPRING!

Have a lovely sunny day darlings!

FAV 2015 Grammy Red Carpet Look

Hey Guys!

So I realize the Grammy Awards were a couple weeks ago but one look in particular really caught my eye. I just loved Sia and Maddie Ziegler's high fashion tuxedo look. Apparently Sia prefers to be more behinds the scenes and reclusive hence the large wig covering most of her face. She also performed with her back to the audience, accompanied by Maddie Zielger performing interpretive dance. The two fabulous ladies walked the red carpet wearing coordinating tuxedo style assembles topped with large white, pouffy, bobbed wigs, Sia's obviously being the largest.

I am always drawn to fashion that makes you stop and think and these looks definitely stood out in a sea of floor length chiffon and silk gowns.

I loved this look so much that I went into my closet, brushed out my own white, pouffy wig, and styled my own version of Sia's red carpet look!

Update Update! Return of Sebabulous!

Hello Everyone!

I want to apologize for my long departure from my blog. As we all know life can get kind of hectic sometimes but I am back now with lots of new fashion and news to share!

For starters I am now enrolled at Humber College for the Fashion Arts Program. I am now learning the fashion industry from the business perspective, including, marketing, color theory, visual merchandising, trend forecasting etc. It is quite interesting to see fashion from another point of view.

Other exciting news from the past year... I am have been modeling more! I modeled in  Fashion Art Toronto last Spring for three talented designers and also for Ryerson's Mass Exodus where I was discovered by Hailey Goguen of Valt Models. Valt Models is an alternative modeling agency in Toronto and is rapidly growing. They are trying and succeeding in breaking the mold of conventional model standards. They have models of all esthetics from curvy tattoed ladies to handsomely bearded men, and of course those of the androgynous appearance like myself. So far it has been a great experience meeting and working with so many incredible and beautiful people.

Now much more has happened, more then can written in one post, so I will leave you here and continue to update you all religiously!

Here are a few fun photos from 2014 to break into 2015!!!

Can't WAIT for SPRING!

Hello Everyone!

I apologize for the lack of posts lately! But never fear, more FAB posts to come!

Today is a little jump closer to Spring. Who is over winter? I AM! And I know most of you are too. Today's outfit is perfect for that short time on the cusp of Spring, when there is still a chill in the air but the sun feels warmer.

The combination of winter fabrics and lighter weight cuts make this assemble still warm but less bulky. Note the grey wool blazer and cropped pants and knee socks rather then a heavy coat and full length pants. Also light grey instead of black or dark brown is great way to remain neutral in your winter to spring color palette but with an airier spring feel.

HAHA My face is ridiculous in this photo but I love it anyway!
